Anyone know why the LIE was closed this morning?
Around Exit 69ish? We were heading West and could not go past Exit 69. I couldn't see anything, so now I am curious

I think the LIE is closed between exit 68 & 69 because of construction.

Katie I was wondering, too. I was heading the same way and had to back track to William Floyd Pkwy. Would they be doing construction on a holiday?

News 12 said there was an accident with emergency vehicles on the scene. I didn't hear any of the details, though.

Something happened at 8:20 am..I was on my way to work, I was driving on Wm floyd Pkwy and out of nowhere cops were coming out of every direction , they closed the ramp to head east on the LIE ..I just looked on line and can't find anything either..
