Anyone know of a rocking horse type toy for under 1 year?

I am looking for a rocking horse type toy for my ds, either to get now or for christmas (7months now will be almost 9 by christmas)

i found a dragon one at one step ahead that is for 6 months+ but its over $100 with shipping - was hoping to find something cheaper

DD got a regular wooden rocking horse for her Christening at 7 months.

She loved it from around 8 months on.

I used to hold her on there and rock here, now she climbs on and off herself and can rock and sings about rocking Chat Icon

She has this one- only it's personalized with her name and some girly decor

My mom bought it at a personalization store in West Islip for about $70 I think

ETA: Many of the toys sold at One Step Ahead can be bought elsewhere for less Chat Icon

I got my niece this one. I know it's expensive, but it's sooo soft. I actually got the boys the eleplant version of it at a yard sale for $10. I would recommend getting a soft one just because it feels safer for a younger child. I saw a similar one at BBB a few months ago for under $100.

Yes it was pricey (ours is pretty much the same design, but the face is little nicer on ours), but this thing is built like it would last long enough for DS grandchildren to enjoy. Since we got it, he's been able to climb up and down on his own from it and rock on it. The legs rock back and forth and make a great sound. Its probably the most played with toy we own and it looks great in our living room Chat Icon

It also looks like it will be good for him till he's 3-4.

We actually got it on a trip to Lancaster, in one of the big farmer's markets, for pretty much the same price.

We got this for DD for her 1st birthday

Sheldon the Turtle

Zulily had a sale, so we grabbed it. Rockabye makes other characters (a bee, a whale, a butterfly, etc) and they're all adorable!
