Anyone ever use Lending Tree? Plus credit inq ques
Experiences - good or bad? Pros/cons?
ETA: Also - what is the final word on the hard credit inquiries with rate shopping - will my score be lowered if I use Lending Tree i.e. do they run it multiple times?

We used it for a home equity loan in 2004. Overall I liked them.
Pros - actually got some really good rates. I think the website is very good as far as letting you compare between one offer and the other.
Cons - TONS of email. Each company that "competes" for your business also gets your email. Some of them email me monthly to see if I want to get a loan with them!!

I used them about 3 years ago for a new car loan. I didn't have any problems with them. It was pretty easy.

Multiple credit inquries relating to mortgage shopping won't damage your credit any more than a single inquiry would... just as long as all the inquiries are within a 30day span.
