Anyone else slighted on mother's day?
I was recognized by the most important people - my son, stepson and husband....but on my 1st ever (biological) mother's day - I didn't get a card from my parents, my mothers-in-law (bio and step) nor my sister-in-law...I know I shouldn't be upset...but, I went out of my way to make sure they got their cards on time and my mom told me - oh I didn't even think to get you one (geez, thanks) and my sister-in-law said, "oh, I forgot - sorry.
I know it shouldn't bother me, but this was my first mother's day...first one...shouldn't the people I made granpdarents and aunt thank me...lol...
i know, i'm being stupid..just wanted to vent b/c i know i won't say anything about it to anyone IRL.

At least for the first Mothers Day I think you should be recognized. It's my first Mothers Day too but I'm not expecting anything and thats fine by me. As long as I have my  I really don't care. I did the right thing and got them cards, if they didn't do the same... oh well. Too bad for them! Hee, hee.

I had a crappy first mother's day 3 years ago as well.
And to this day...I STILL don't get recognized by my MIL for mother's day.

I totally agree! I didn't get a card from anyone besides me DH & DC. It's 3:30 and I still have not even gotten a phone call from my Sister and I am my nieces Godmother.

I agree. Something would have been nice. I didn't get a card from MIL but she is a !@#$@ so I am not surprised.
