anyone else afraid to turn on their ACs this summer?
I am having anxiety over my electric bill already. It's gone up so much with NO changes in usage, I can only imagine when the AC is.on. I'm home all the time with my kids, I think I'm gonna buy some more fans and dry ice to blow cool air off of.lol jk. Seriously though, am I the only one scared?

Yup. Plus I have a pool so between the AC and the pool filter, I'm screwed.

Same here.
We might need a second mortgage to pay the electric bill this year.
It's really not right that they can just randomly raise rates that much

Yes! This will be our first summer with our dog, so we can't turn it off when we're not home. No central AC here

I've already had the ac on 
We have solar panels though so our bills aren't bad at all. (The cost of the solar panels however.... )

My brother just did a solar panel thing where they install them on the house and you rent them - at a much lower cost than what you would be paying PSEG. I'm not sure what program it was. My house faces east, so I doubt it would be worth it for us.
