anyone do or know someone who did hypnosis to stop smoking?
My mom really wants to do this, and I may go with her..
It worked for 2 people I know, wondering if it failed for anyone?

I know a guy at work that did it like three times.. and all three times it failed for him.. but maybe it will work for your Mom..

My DH and his Mom did it and it was the best thing they ever did. They were both heavy smokers and now they are both smoke free!

Donna have you ever tried the Commit losenge??I used to be a heavy smoker since I was 13 and I used the losenge and I havent smoked in a year and 7 mths

DH did it successfully for 3 months. My Dad and Stepmother both have had 3 years of success however.

Thanks, Im gonna try it with a friend and My mom....Worth a shot, its a cheap one too...one of those hotel ones with a big group and money back guarentee...couldnt hurt to try...

Is the hypnosis supposed to make you Not have the cravings, or be able to Control them when you do have them?
i'm torn- i want to quit, but at the same time, i dont (even though i know i should, and eventually will have to anyway)

I honestly dont know...and Im at the same point. I want to quit because I want to TTC, I want to save money, I want to not hack up a lung, yet its comforting, so its REAL hard...BUt I feel like the achievement if I can do it will feel amazing, so Im gonna try and try to go into it wanting to whole heartedly...

My neighbor is a hypnotist, and he says that it definitely works, IF you want it to work!!!
My Grandfather smoked from age 16 to age 66. He went to one hynosis session, and it worked. He's 2 1/2 years smoke-free as of right now.
My FMIL, on the other hand, only went b/c her children bought her the session as a gift. She had no interest in quitting, and she didn't.
As with most of life, I think it's what you make of it.

I went to a hypnotist before I was scheduled for a surgery looking to quit. Maybe it didn't work since I was feeling way too skeptical throughout the entire one-on-one session

Thanks for the good wishes...I may not be 100% ready, BUT Im going to go into it 100% believing in it and ready so that I can get the most out of it...Hope it works for me and my Mom and friend!

When are you going? Please let me know how it works for you. I've often wondered if it did nothing for me because I found the guy to be a big boob or if I am just too skeptical.
