Anyone buy windows lately?
Our house needs new replacement windows ASAP. Anyone have a recommendation?

WindowRama in Ronkonkoma is good, our friend just order her windows from them. They are kind of like a window warehouse.

I have Andersen windows throughout my house. A co-worker and one of friend used Pella.

We saved a lot by buying them oursleves in Lowe's (we got Pella) and then hiring a general contractor to install. This is good if you have standard sized windows and are doing a direct replacements.

We're not looking to break the bank at all. We just want regular replacement windows. About how much should we spend per window? 200?

I received quotes for about $200 per window so I would say you are about right. And that included installation also, but they are not Pella Windows.

We replaced the windows on our second floor ourselves (DH's brother did actually). We paid $168 per window at Lowes for Pella and then a little over $100 for all the aluminium trim.
Our contractor provided 2 huge new windows and 1 replacement on the second floor and 4 replacement on our first floor and charged us $2,000. I'm not sure if they are Pella, but they are identical and are Energy Star too.
We got the windows with the mullions inside the glass, but the ones without mullions were the same price.

We did our windows almost 2 years ago. We got 9 windows (Anderson) for $7,500.
