anybody know about interchanging bases for car seats?
i have two safe seats and my brother just gave me two snugride bases. can they bes used or definitely not? i didn't even pick them up from my brothers yet. i wanted to make sure first.

I would be very shocked if they were interchangeable. There's no universal standard for bases, so each manufacturer can make whatever connector they want. The odds of them matching are slim to none.
We have a stroller that takes a car seat, and there is a chart that shows you how to set up the support bar, depending on what brand you have, and most of them seem to be very different.
If your brother isn't too far away and/or you are visiting him anyway, it won't cost anything to try it, though. You never know.... they might fit....

Graco makes both, and I think they *may* be interchangeable, but I could be making that up
