Any tips? I am getting soo sick of this...TMI warning

Well I am on #3 yeast infection within 10 weeks time. And on top of that, they tested me for Strep B too, and I am positive already!

I am getting a little tired of this! It's amazing how different this pg is compared to DD's. I had ZERO infections with her and was Strep B negative!

I already take acidophilus every other day, and i am lactose intolerant so i can't really eat yogurt everyday. I am 24 weeks and done with that whole area down there!

Any tips ladies on how to deal with this naturally? I don't want to do Monistat AGAIN!

One of the best ways to help a recurring YI is to cut down on processed sugars, which actually can foster remnants of the YI in your organs.

In addition to acidophillus, try active bifids to help. If you are near a Whole Foods, there is a drink called "Synergy" that has a great mixture of good flora. It is a little pricey, but if you drink one ounce of it an hour it is the daily dosage.

How many units of acidophillus are you currently taking? At my worst bout I had to take a perle that contained a billion active cultures. (Also remember acidophillus & live cultures need to be refrigerated, even in pill form).

Apple Cider Vinegar -- 1 T to 3 T of water - drink it 3 times a day. It got rid of my YI in 2 days.

You can also take a bath and put the vinegar in it - helps relieve the itching.

I swear it is the best remedy out there!!

why do you only take acidophilis every other day? i think it meeds to be more frequent, like more than once a day.

I will try it! I will try anything right about now to treat this thing and keep it away. I am taking 100 mg of acidopillus in pill form-yep from the fridge:)

How much could i take at once? Do you know?

I was only taking it every other day on rec from the doc as a preventative to ward off more YI, DIDN"T work!

Yes - I got a YI between retrieval and transfer for my IVF and it was imperative that I get rid of it. It was great -- yes just regular APPLE cider vinegar from the supermarket. I got organic tho.

In the bath put a few cups, depending on how much you fill the tub. I also read it is great for softening skin so that's an added plus!

No suggestions... but Chat Icon

With my 1st PG I never got any "infections" besides a cough but with my 2nd PG I got a YI at least 2 times and I had pink eye two times as well. This was during the full blown summer here in NC. It s@cks, I know!!! Chat Icon

I got this CONSTANTLY w/ DD and the only thing that got it to go away was to stop eating sugar.
