Any Nurse's I have a question
Yesterday I went to get blood work done...the phlembotomist(sp) who took the blood really hurt me, what do you think she did wrong..if anything. My arm really hurt afterwards.

I am not a nurse but I have gotten black and blue arms and permenant wholes from ppl who screwed up taking my blood. It can be anything from them getting to close to artery or putting the needle in at a weird angle.

I also had blood work done yesterday! Sometimes they just hurt more than others. Once I had a huge golfball-shaped raised bruise for a month. Yesterday she was pretty gentle though.

I am an RN. Somtimes they can infiltrate the vein. If i is bruised and raised a bit.
