Anxiety question

I have ALOT going on right now- and think I may be having some anxiety issues....

I wake in the middle of the night, thinking about all the chaos going on, my heart begin to race and I can NOT fall back asleep...

When converstaion or thoughts arise during the day about everything going on, I get shortness of breath, dizziness, and my heart literally feels like it skips beats...

I always have the ON EDGE feeling...

I almost feel like- Im at the stage right before a panic attack ALL THE TIME...

Does this sound like anxiety attacks- or Im a just really stressed...

IF it is- which MD do I see to take care of this feeling?

I'm not an expert, by any stretch, and I've felt similar things. I would talk to your regular doctor (general practitioner, if you have one) first. S/he will either give you something to help out, or point you toward someone who can. I know what it's like to feel this way. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment next week. If you've at least done that, it may take a weight off your shoulders. If you see a therapist or counselor anyway, make an appointment with that person.

DH went through this, and has been on an anti-depressant for some time. It helps him a lot, and just going to see a "shrink" who tells him what he's feeling about certain issues is normal and understandable helps him a lot.
