Re: Another daycare question! How much info to give.

When I started DD in this new daycare, her first day there, I also gave them a written instruction sheet of her schedule at home. How I do things, what she likes, etc....

At daycare though, it's nearly impossible for them to follow her home schedule (which I'm fine with, since it's just 2 days a week), but the do follow whatever instructions I give them regarding soothing and eating.

Obviously I'd like her to eat and drink all her bottles and food, but realistically these days that doesn't happen. As long as she gets what she needs I'm pretty flexible.

Ds has bad gas and mild reflux ans isnt good when eating. i dont want to be too annoying but he is difficult. KWIM
schedules dont bother me. he only stays awake for an hour before he needs to be put down

i just gave them a general timeline of his day and let them do what it is I pay them too. If there were issues they were having I would address them on a case by case basis.

Same here - when she started, she didn't really have a schedule and I am pretty laid back to begin with.

I gave them Sean's schedule and a general idea of his reactions to certain situations etc - but that's about it.

I didnt get a form, but im going to write a little guide to jack about his feeding, napping, etc.

i guess be as detailed as you can...this way they know off the bat what to do and then can go from there.

include how often he feeds- and how much he eats at the feeding, and if he has a sleep schedule.

most often each daycare person has their own way they feed or soothe. if your baby has to have it a certain way or will scream until you do it, then definately write it down...

ds feeds every 4 hours after his first feeding. every day his first feeding varies so i always have to tell them when i fed him when i drop him off. the other babies in the room all seem to be on time schedules though for when they are allowed to eat or sleep.
