an Ex-friends' husband was just arrested for soliciting a child online! UPDATE in last post
I can't believe it! We met this couple almost two years ago...they moved down to NC from NY a few months after we did...the wife used to work for the same company as DH.
We were friends...stopped talking in Sept.
Found out yesterday that her husband was online chatting with a "13 yr old girl", which was really the sherriff's department. He went to her house to meet with her and got busted!
I can't believe someone was actually that stupid!...and the worst part is/was he worked at a high school and was also one of the varsity Lax coachs!
so crazy!

Someone in my very close friend of mine's family is going through something similar, except the act(s) actually happened, and it wasn't a girl. I really don't understand this and he will be going to jail for a long time.

Same thing happened to a guy i worked wtih. He went to Bayshore marina to meet a 13 yr old girl... It just ahppened to be the taping of "To catch a predator" when it was working wtih Americas most wanted...
Needless to say this man was no longer my coworker

I was going to remind everyone of the innocent until proven guilty thing, but being caught redhanded does not leave a whole lot of room for that argument. How awful that children are at such risk these days.

update
He had his court appearance yesterday...they lowered his bail and his wife was able to bail him out.
So I guess he is home for now?
Obviously he lost his job at the school and coaching....when he spoke to the head coach he said that he was sorry and he did it b/c he was "bored."

What a GREAT excuse So in other words, if it really HAD been a 13 year old girl, he would have done something with her cuz he was bored??? Still disgusting!!!

Unfortunately, I think too many people also wind up meeting unsuspecting young girls without getting caught.
