American Express Gift Cards...UPDATE

ETA: I tried using it online this morning and it didn't work. I wasn't able to use it. I even called Amazon and they told me I couldn't. I just wanted to let anyone know incase you were wondering. Let's say you have a $100 card, you can't get anything over that $100. If you are in a store, you have to pay the balance, then put the card through...so if it comes out to 108.50, you have to pay 8.50, then they can put the $100 card through. So, your best bet us to use it if you are under the limit, then you can use the rest up if you go to a store.

So if I want to buy something that is $100.00 but my GC is only $50.00 then I'll have to pay the $50.00 before they take out the $100.00????
