always worried to the max

I know Im not the only mommy that worries but sometimes I feel that it consumes me- I constantly am worried about my baby even though the dr thinks every thing looks great I cant help but worry about him all the time, I worry about develepoment, feeding, weight, health and so on. I cant seem to get out of my own head sometimes-- is there anyboy that can relate. Dh is gonna kill me soon becuase Im turnig him into a nervous nellie when he used to be very calm.

I'm really at ease with Jack, he is real alert and happy little guy, but I totally freak out about something happening to my parents or my husband and having them miss out on his life.
I'm terrified of a vacation we may take when Dh gets back for a weekend without Jack that someone would happen to us and that he would be left without parents. I really dislike him away from me but I think I have anxiety because of what Dh is doing which doesn't help.

PS. I hate saying it too but I worried alot less when I stopped breastfeeding. I had an abundent supply and was pumping so I knew he was taking in plenty but it was real hard on me physically and mentally. I loved that he was growing off mom's milk but I couldn't deal with the stress of watching everything I ate or drank or took.... and how it might hurt him... so maybe I was alot more worried but just when we switch to Formula around 8 weeks I have quickly forgotten.

I am a total worry wart. I worry about something happening to Sidney or something happening to me or DH. My Mom died when i was 13 so I would never ever want her to have to lose one of us. My DH thinks I'm crazy. I was pretty much like this before she was born though. If DH was late coming home I would watch the news to look for car accidents...total nut job I know! I don't think we will ever stop worrying - hang in there Chat Icon Chat Icon

I was really worried in the beginning. I've found that for me I can't read the books like what to expect the first year, etc.

I get too anxious if she's not doing something they say she should be. I rely more on the doctor now. I always ask if she's on par developmentally, size wise, etc. That's really helped me relax.

I have to say, I dont worry to much about the baby as she is happy and healthy, but like the pp said, I constantly worry about something happening to me and/or DH. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed with the responsibility of parenting and what would happen if I was in a car accident, plane crash ect... It can overwhelm me at times, but I try not to let it get me too anxious. I think it is normal to be overly concerned the key is to try to keep it all in perspective.
