Alcohol during IVF cycle
i have been hearing conflicting opinions on this
Have any of you stopped alcohol all together once your cycle started? or have you had a glass of wine here and there?
and, if you stopped during your cycle, did you stop as soon as you got AF or as soon as your started the meds?

I stopped ETOH as soon as I started my Lupron.... which worked out to be about 1 month before IVF.
I had also stopped for a few IUI cycles.
The way I see it... there is some evidence that drinking decreases fertility in women (for reasons unknown) and I am doing everything else (including invasive procedures) to increase fertility... this is actually a small step.

I drank my nightly glass of wine until the day of my transfer. I have a high-stress job and the wine helped de-stress me. Not one sip since the transfer. (I always drank wine when i was just doing IUI's.)

I didn't drink at all once I started Lupron which was what my doctor recommended. I didn't stop working out until I started stimming though.

My RE's instructions were no alcohol or caffine during my IVF cycles. I was instructed to "act" as if I were already pregnant. Which also meant if I had a headache or something I could only take Tylenol, no advil or aleve.

I completely stopped drinking... I only drank for new years eve after I miscarried... but I am stopping again and prepping my body for an FET

I have stopped as of this weekend and I start estrogen priming on Monday. I hope I won't be having another drink for a very long time...

thanks so much everyone!
I got AF last Tuesday and with the holidays , i have had a few drinks here and there. I will most likely stop after this weekend (DH's 30th birthday is Monday!), about two weeks before i start the meds.
