for my SIL's wedding on Sat August 23rd,
they all open at 9am-
if i get it done with the bridal party it's $85
i only want half up....

hmm... is it possible to call one and see if one of the hairstylists will come in early for you? if they open at 9, 8am isn't such a big difference... i had my girl come in at 6am on a sunday for my wedding

I've gotten appointments with Maria Candy at Anastasia in Garden City at 8am. You might try there.
HOWEVER - Ask that you are the first appointment. I've unfortunately had to wait there before. 
ETA - I think an updo (full or half) would be about $50 there. All my girls got their hair done there for my wedding. (Maria did my hair for my wedding)

Try Majestic in Seaford on Merrick Road
They open at 9am but they may come in early for you

My friend owns a salon in Levittown on North Jerusalem Rd calle Trichelles, 731-1221, she may do it for you if she is available.
