Advice needed! OMG there were some ants in my kitchen yesterday!
I was sooo freaked out. They were big and black. I am thinking becuase I had a new front door put in and there was no door for about 3 hours, about 2 months ago, some got in. DH killed a bee, ( a very brave man !) and a spider a few weeks later. the only thing was those 5 yucky gross ants. I am so paranoid now. I must have sprayed a whole can of Raid all over my kitchen cabinets and by my dishwasher. I have the creepy crawlies from it. I have not seen any since then, it is almost 24 hours, am I out of the woods? Or would you keep spraying? I do not live with bugs in my home- it is a clean home, and I freak if I see something like that. I threw out anything that was open on the counter and re ran the dishwasher 2 times on high temp wash. Someone told me to get those plug in things that emit a high pitch sound to bugs that make them want to leave. Humans do not hear this sound. Any advice and suggestions please? I am so freaked about this. TIA!

I think you are in the clear. Those big ants are not like the litte tiny ones that are very difficult to get rid of. If you see any more, try to see where they are coming from. You have to kill the source to truely get rid of them.

I think you are fine...usually they appear this time of year and with a little raid or ant traps you can get rid of them right away.
We just had the tiny ones appear and I put out some ant traps...they are gone already.

That is what I am hoping. I found a dead one under my counter, but at least it was dead!

I've been finding the itty-bitty ones. Just put the traps around the kitchen, and so far so good.
