I have 2:

My Aunt @ my Mom's Birthday party on Saturday:
"You're having another BOY??? - Ohhhhhhhh, come ON !!! ?? You were supposed to give me a GIRL !! I wanted a GIRL !!" -
She continuted this multiple times throughout the evening -

Um, sorry - but thanks for making me feel good about it.

DH's grandmother to me on Sunday @ her Birthday party:

"Oh, another boy? Oh well ........you'll just have to have another one"
No, we're done with 2.
"Well, you may be fine w/ it now, but when you get older you will be upset and regret not having a daughter, it's just not the same, take it from me" (she has 2 sons)

REALLY ???? Really? THAT is what you say to me ????????? As IF part of me doesn't already feel that way?
As if I 1. have ANY sort of control over this. I could have 10 kids and all boys !!
and WHY would anyone say something like that ???

I hate people like this. You have no control over the gender whatsoever. I don't understand people sometimes. That and regardless of the gender isn't any baby a blessing?!?!?! It's so sad that people take it for granted and don't realize what a true blessing pregnancy really is.

OMG that is so awful! I totally struggled at first with having a boy bc I desperately wanted a girl - now I am totally in love with my LO and he's not here yet but when I was telling that to someone she said, "Yeah, that's a shame, I really see you more as a mother to a girl" I was like DID I NOT JUST TELL YOU MY WHOLE EMOTIONAL STRUGGLE. . people are idiots. .

or before I was married an aunt kept saying to me at a joint engagement party for my sister AND brother. what a pity you're alone.. does that bother you you can't find anyone? that must be hard to see everyone else in love and you have no one. . and you're not getting any younger either.. I almost killed her and she made me feel so bad I had to leave the room

I get this from everyone as well...... "oh another boy" yes I'm very happy I am having another boy! DS will have a brother and a BFF for life! Would I like a daughter sure I would but I'm done after this! I am extremely happy!

Ha! Sounds like my mother in law.

She flat out told me she only buys clothes for girls and will refuse to buy any boy clothes.

Mind you, she has two boys.
And I have a son.

She is special.

I am so sorry that they said that to you and upset you! Please be happy and know that 2 boys, 2 girls, 1 boy 1 girl, whatever you have is a huge blessing and you should be so happy!

I know...people are just so rude or don't realize. I am PG with #2 and we are Team Green. I have a 19 month old son. So many people keep saying" I hope that you are having a girl" and I say " I hope that I have a healthy baby". Either way I am happy - if it is a boy my son gets a brother or we have one of each. I honestly have no preference!

So annoying!!! After telling my MIL we were having a girl (she has 2 of each), she went on & on about how hard girls are, and how 1 day if I have a boy, I will feel sooo different as soon as they put him in my arms...and then she said she got goosebumps just thinking about it

Really...thanks for happily sharing in our joy of a baby girl!!!
