? about Sallie Mae and Federal Direct student loans...
Are they 2 separate student loans? Will it be 2 different statement? I usually get my loans through Federal Direct but this year I plan to do a Sallie Mae loan, will the Sallie Mae loan be recognized on my Direct Loan statement, I know they are both Dept. of Education....

ETA: Where is a good place to get a non-government student loan through?

They are two different products. I loathed my private loans and cannot recommend the company I used at all. They never applied the extra payments I made properly. It was extremely aggravating to work with them.

I had both of them. Before I consolidated, they came on two separate statements.
I can not recommend another loan company. I would suggest talking to your school's financial aid department.

You will have to make 2 separate payments.
I got a small loan from CitiAssist - Citibank and had no issues with them!
