A rehearsal dinner question...

DH is in a bridal party of a distant friend. I cannot go to the wedding (I have class that afternoon). He was invited to the rehearsal dinner, but they made no mention of me...Do you think I am invited? He called back to ask but they did not return his call yet. I can't see them not inviting his wife to go with him, but I think the bride is mad that I can't go to the wedding.

Re: WR but not mine...

That would be very rude (not to invite you to the rehearsal dinner) unless they are assuming you can't make that either due to your schedule. Hopefully they'll call him back and let him know. Is the wedding soon?

I always kind of assumed spouses are invited...I would consider it a slap in the face if they say I am not. Chat Icon

Strangely the wedding is a week from this Sat but the rehearsal is the day after tomorrow.

I would call them again if you don't hear from them and say something along the lines of "I was really looking forward to giving you both my good wishes at your RD since I am so disappointed that I can't make it to the wedding." (or have DH say it.) I agree that it would be a slap in the face to not invite you.
