8 month old twins fighting....

My boys have been driving me crazy. Now that they are on the move Gavin loves to steal any toy Ethan is playing with. Then it turns into a hair pulling someone crying fight. I tell Gavin no and I take the toy away from him to give back to Ethan then he cries.

Is this normal with twins? How did you handle this? I know siblings are going to fight but I never thought at 8 months old I would be dealing with this.

Very normal. My boys started fighting about 9 months and have not stopped yet, they will be 3 in August.

I did the saem as you are doing and it does work, they still fight but it goes back to the original one and then I make them switch after a certain amount of time, so they get the concept of sharing.

When they got older I would put the toy in time out.

So normal. I make them give the toy back. But, if the fighting continues I take away whatever they are fighting over.

Very normal. If I witness one of them taking a toy away from the other I go over and give the toy back to who originally had it. That usually sends the other one into a tantrum. They also have a tendacy to try and bite the other one who is taking the toy away. So that is always fun too.

Get use to it. It changes the fighting but does not end. Now they are into throwing the other one down to the ground if they get mad at them. And they also continue to hit, bite or throw things at the other too.

Fun times.
