I've found great ideas on there for my daughter's 1st birthday theme. I just recreated this invite, but used the whole caterpillar from the book instead of putting pics:

I also created some favor tags with a combination of these designs

That was my sons first bday theme too! The caterpillar cake was really easy to make...I think it is in my album if you want :)

Slightly OT... I do not do pintrest at all but after seeing this post I thought I'd search for birthday party themes for my son's first birthday. But the search gave me everything with any of those words. I tried again using quotes but the results were exactly the same. How do you search it and get relevant results?

LI Newbie -- I just searched "a very hungry caterpillar" and a bunch of stuff came up. Also, I did google searches as well as searches on etsy. The etsy search probably yielded the most results, and then I use the "Pin it" button to put it on my pinterest board.
The invite I Posted and favor tags are from etsy and I pinned them myself.

Sweet Baby Rays Crock Pot Chicken - I loved it but chicken was so tender I ended up pulling it.
Macaroni & Cheese - it's good. Just a typical mac & cheese.
Coconut Chicken - delish!
Clean oven racks - they came out spotless! I would recommend doing this in a well ventilated area and you really do not need a lot of ammonia.
How to clean the ven door glass - it does work but not as easily as the blogger makes it sounds. It took some scrubbing to get all the grease off the glass. It was also kind of messy (probably user error). But...it's never been as clean as it is right now
.
Plus I scrapbook and used lots of layouts I pined for inspiration.
i also made that chicken and ended up pulling it apart.
I have also made many other recipes

Just did these for the grand parents for Valentine's day This was simple but cute
Rainbow cake DD1 LOVED making this!
Garlic lime chicken sooo yummy
Crescent pizza rolls I used shredded cheese but these were a HUGE hit for dinner
Bacon wrapped smokies made these for a party, they didn't last long (I made a double batch). SO GOOD
Apple ring pancakes I didn't use the full recipe, I just used pancake mix and added some cinnamon. I didn't use extra sugar or the reduction (or syrup) either and they were still sweet and yummy
Fondant recipe I have this pinned now, but I've used it for years. Best fondant ever.
Creamy basil pesto making for tonight.

Crock Pot Beef and Broccoli This was awesome
No-Bake Energy Bites These were good and great for breakfast on the go.
Coconut Bars These are outrageous!
Crock Pot Honey Sesame Chicken This was good, but a little too sweet. I think next time I'll use 3/4 cup of honey instead of the full cup.

So it's easy to just pin an idea, recipe, DIY project, etc. but I thought it would be fun to share which pins you've actually completed!
I joined 9 days ago and I'm proud (and surprised!) to say I've utilized 4 pins and working on a 5th! I don't cook, I don't craft, I don't bake (with the exception of ready-bake cookies!), or anything of that nature... until Pinterest came into my life.
So, this is what I've done so far...

And this is what I'm working on -- I already got a frame from Home Goods but I need to paint it.

I plan on doing the frame around the thermostat ASAP! I one we have upstairs is in the middle of the wall and I was trying to figure out how to put art on that wall - it's just in the way! With the frame around it, it'll just blend. AWESOME!!! Tomorrow Homegoods and Michaels

I have made a few things but my favorite dessert recipe has been the italian rainbow cookie cake. It was SOOOOO good and looked perfect too!!
