6 Months Old and CRAWLING! Need baby proofing help!
So, DS decided he is going to be super baby and learned to crawl, and I mean the little bugger is a speed demon at that LOL! Can you give me some safety/ baby proofing advice from the BTDT moms? I have the obvious outlet covers, but beyond that what should I run out and get!
Also, he is pulling himself up to standing in his crib, I can't believe it! I've lowered the crib, but I'm afraid he's going to fall backwards and hit his head on the other side of the crib.... is there anything I can do about that?

Kaitee started that young too! by 10 1/2 months she was running! Just make sure all small things are picked up. Also make sure any cleaning products are out of reach and make sure nothing is breakable in reach. Kaitee fell a few times and bonked her head on the crib. It didn't seem to faze her much. I am not sure what you could do about that.

get locks for the kitchen cupboards, and stairgates. Those are invaluable for me.

I've never gone overboard with the babyproofing at our house. No other place you go to will be overly safe, so you don't want either you or DC to be too used to everything being padded.
We just keep things that can seriously hurt DC locked or protected. Outlet covers, attach top-heavy furniture to the wall, gates by stairs, locks only on cabinets with household poisons. I think that's it. No corner guards, no locks on every cabinet (although sometimes it would be nice to be able to use the lower cabinets in the kitchen for something besides toys and caves....
