6 month old- baby food suggestions
all i keep feeding ds is bannana, pear, carrots, sweet potato, and peaches. he refuses peas but is a great eater otherwise, i feel that everything i feed him is super sweet and am ready to expand... what did you feed your 6 month old??? can i start pureed chicken? i think i can start yogurt too.

Honestly... I fed her whatever we ate.... just pureed down to a super fine consistency!

i try, so far home made are pears and sweet potatos, others i buy the organic gerber, but if it comes to eating proteins i am willing to make home made again.

My son only eats Pears, sweet potatoes and carrots. I am thinking to start making my own since he only will eat 3 things right now.

have you tried the stage 2 mixes...they have some interesting combos...have you tried green beans (you didn't mention them).

I made plums, peaches, carrots, mangos (from frozen fruit), applesauce, white potato, sweet potato, yam.....check out wholesomebabyfood.com for more ideas

I would try the combos. Our doctor said no yogurt until 8 months.

I make Charlotte's food as well as feed her Earth's Best.
She eats and loves the following combos:
- avocado with pears, mango, sweet potato
- pears with peaches, blueberries, peas, butternut squash, winter squash, sweet potato, raspberries, prunes
- sweet potato with pumpkin, butternut squash, winter squash, prunes
- zucchini with oatmeal (b/c it's such a thin consistency)
- carrots with sweet potato, winter squash, prunes
- green beans with b/nut squash, sweet potatoes, winter squash, prunes
(I give her a lot of pears b/c she has had some constipation)
I've also given her:
tofu
pastina (doesn't seem to like it yet) with peas, b/nut squash
mashed banana
yogurt (didn't love it...plan on introducing it again soon)
Earth's Best has some good mixes that I originally bought and then once I found that she liked the flavors, I went and made them myself.
I have no interest in starting meats with her...the thought of pureeing meat kind of skeeves me
