SPR: Did anyone else get sick a lot after having a baby?
Is it just that I am more worn down, tired?
Last winter I wasnt sick at all, but I was on maternity leave.
Im a teacher and I have a crazy awesome immune system...I get sick once a year and it's always when I'm worn down, stressed out.
Im already on my 3rd "sickness" in the past 2 months.
I JUST got over a horrible cold and now, three days later, I have an insane sinus thing going on and am miserable again.

I hardly ever get sick except for when I'm pregnant and after. When you're pregnant your immune system is lower but I think after pregnancy it's just sleep deprivation

I'm just starting to feel better and the girls are 4 months old. I wasn't sick in way over a year and a half and then I got one cold after the other for the last 12 or so weeks. I am feeling much stronger now though....

After Ben was born in2007, not really. However after Ethan was born last April, both my husband and I have been sick more often than ever. My resistance seems to finally be building up but my poor husband has had sinus infection after sinus infection since July.

I have the same problem -- I typically get one cold a year, and I have had 3 since school started. I think it is sleep deprivation, without a doubt!

I was just thinking the same thing--I am on my third "cold" this year--usually I get sick like once a school year--I think it might be that I am not sleeping like I used to!!! Its my 7th year teaching and I usually am ok even when my kids get sick--I just feel bad cause I keep getting DD sick :(

DS is in daycare so I feel like I catch everything from him. I didn't get sick at all when I was pregnant. Since DS started daycare, I can't even count the number of colds I've gotten (at least one per month). Last month was really rough. I had the stomach virus, strep throat and a cold.
