5 Year Old Runny Nose and Congested

..any recommendations for what to give him to help him out - night times are worst :(

He rarely gets sick...poor little guy.

Would this elderberry syrup work for this?

I like Hylands Cough and Cold. I give that to my DS if it's just a cold. Also the Zarbees works for the cough too.
Lots of fluids, humidifier, Vicks and prop up his pillows at night so he's not flat at night.
Also make sure he keeps blowing his nose to keep it clear.

You can give Eldberry syrup, but it's not to help with the cold symptoms. It's a boost of Vitamins. I give to DS every morning. When he's sick may just give twice a day instead of once, but also the natural cold remedies as well.

Thank you both SO much. I actually did a search on here for elderberry and your post on hylands came up and DH was at the store and picked it up...lets hope DS takes it now...he is hard to keep on a pillow as he always rolls off it but I will try.

Is Vicks okay for a 5 year old?

Yeah, you can use vicks on dc.

The Hyland's Cough and Cold work great.

I also noticed that you can give children's triaminic to children 4 and up
