5 month old and dirty diapers
since friday my 5 month old has had a poo in about every diaper - we're talking about 6 a day. he has no fever - he has an appetite and has been chowing down his bottles and solids like a champ but I'm concerned. he usually only goes once a day. poops have been (tmi alert) the color of the food he's eating like carrots and squash and such - some poops are slightly loose and seedy. what should I do? would you be concerned? thanks girls I'm on the verge of panic- not that it takes much!

Is solids a new thing for him? I think I heard that when solids are introduced the # of dirty diapers increases. I would say as long as he's eating drinking normally nothings wrong.

the solids aren't new - but towards the end of last week I started giving him solids twice a day.. I'm wondering if maybe thats the case? I am making myself nuts

That could very well be it! I wouldnt worry too much about it at all.

When DS started solids he went from 1 poop diaper every other day to 3-4 a day. :is poop sometimes was the color of the food.
It sounds like heKs adjusting to solids but I would check with my doc just to be sure.

Its probably the increase of solids and he may be teething too.
