4mos: so I switched from Pampers Swaddlers to Huggies, size 3 and they are no way as soft as the pampers were. They feel like paper and he leaked EVERYWHERE last night
Granted I was spoiled with the old school swaddlers, but these feel really, "cheap" is this bc we moved away from Pampers or bc he is no longer in swaddler-type diapers and across the board they are going to feel less soft?
suggestions for softer diapers--THAT DON't LEAK??
Ethan was in size 2-3 swaddlers so I just bought the size 3 huggies--maybe that's the problem?

weird, we just switched to size 3 Huggies b/c DS was leaking out of Luvs (since I was to scared to buy pampers with all that crap going on). Which huggies did you buy?
ETA- they def. aren't as soft as pampers

I wish I had answers for you, but we are in the exact same boat. Poor DS wakes up every morning completely soaked. We have tried every diaper out there, even the overnights, and he still leaks through. I love the fact that he sleeps from 7 pm to 6:30 am, but I feel so bad that he is so drenched every morning!!!

I am in the same diaper fiasco, too.
I really like the thickness of the Earth's Best Diapers. He did leak through one night, but I believe that is due to the 4 being too small. The Pampers Sensitive Swaddler, I loved, but the same thing, all of that Dry Max crap, and I was worried. Also, it made a nasty white residue, and the package has a warning about it...I am going to stick with Earth's Best, I think

Same here! He sleeps from 6pm til 7am!! Today he woke at 6am and I knew something was wrong. Drenched is the better word. I feel like I am diapering him with highschool text books. We didn't rash with the pampers and now I am regretting the decision

try the drymax.....despite "some" babies having problems with them, i would say not all f them have issues. keep notice of any spots, etc...
i love drymax...yes, they do hold more and i think they are just as comfortable. Im not a huggies fan. I was given 300 huggies and im not a fan. I ended up giving to somone that loves huggies (size 3 )
buy a small pack and try it out...
if there was a huge problem, they would of been recalled... jmo

I agree...im using the drymax and I have no complaints..I tried huggies and luvs at one point or other and didnt like either of them so ive stuck with pampers through the whole dry max thing and so far no problems (knock on wood haha)

Have you tried the pampers baby dry...we've used both the cruisers before and after the dry maxx and didnt have a problem, but use the baby dry because they work good also and are cheaper since you get more in a box.

The Huggies Pure and Natural are really soft like the Pampers Swaddlers. I would try those. Also IMO Huggies run bigger than Pampers.

ITA!! We were actually able to stop using the overnites with Rylan because they hold so good!!

Wow I just tried Huggies too, and this was my exact reaction to them! We had one leak, but I think its because I forgot to do "peepee down" thing I'm supposed to with DS.

I just bought the kirkland brand from costco and have no complaints about them at all.
I still have some swaddlers with dry max left, and am trying to switch brands.
The kirkland run smaller, DD is still a size 1-2 in the swaddlers, but the kirkland 1-2 are a little narrower. I'll try the 3 next time, but seriously, they are $30 a case and seem to be pretty good quality.

That's my problem too...  I am finishing up DSs last box of NON Dry Max that we got from my shower like 7 months ago... and then I'm sooo scared to actually purchase diapers. I don't like huggies... then just seem like paper, and I must put powder with the huggies or else his bottom gets all dried out. (My MIL got us a big box of huggies.. ) Plus, he would ALWAYS have explosions out of them. I'm gonna try some other Huggies just to make sure...(the smaller boxes first LOL) and then I may even try the target brand since soo many people on here swear by them...
