Let me start off by saying that DD has been in a twin bed since 20 months old when her sister was born - so being in a twin bed isn't the issue.

Recently she has been so difficult to get to sleep. I will tuck her in and she will come running into my bedroom - about 15 - 20 times before she actually falls asleep. She doesn't nap and I usually get her to sleep around 8 ish (in reality she is asleep by 9 ish or later). She will look for every excuse in the book - mommy - i need a tissue, my blanket fell off, i want to be near you, i have to go the bathroom etc etc. She doesn't tell me she's afraid - but will tell me she wants to be near me. I have the hallway light on and a night light in her room that I thought would be helpful but it doesn't seem to be.

During the day I can't go to the bathroom unless the room is open (at least half-way), I find this so annoying and can't understand why. Its like she doesn't want to lose sight of me for a second. She constantly knows where I am in the house etc. etc... I don't know what to think of this. Its been a few months of this behavior and I can't understand why. Is this typical of 4-5 year old? She attended nursery school 5x a week, 2.5 per day and was fine with it - she looked forward to going etc..., she is a girly girl, she minics me alot and I realize she wants to be like me which is cute, but the bed issue is becoming a problem - she is constantly out of her bed and in my room - and she is TIRED - i know she is. Im a SAHM so we are constantly together, if i have to run an errand I usually leave her with grandparents, aunt and she is fine with it. Could she be just afraid??
