39 weeks..little movement
is this normal? the baby isnt moving to much at all...

I think I read that movement becomes less and less the closer you get.

My doctor told me to count 4 movements per hour. If there is less than four call your doctor. It is normal. My  is moving less, but giving me contractions.

Ahhh, could mean that you're very close to labor! I remember that the day before I delivered my daughter hardly moved at all. I was so concerned that I ate as much chocolate as possible to get some movement. I was so close to going to L&D to check on her when she moved just a little bit, so I went to sleep and thought, if it doesn't get better in the morning, I'll go to L&D. WELLL, the next morning I did end up at L&D, but because I was in active labor!  I've heard that babies tend to get very quiet the day or two before labor - saving up their energy for the big day
