39 weeks and bleeding
I woke up this morning and I went to the bathroom and I'm bleeding. It kind of looks like the first day of my period.
I just called the doctor, but I've never heard of this as a labor symptom.
Any ideas? Advice?

Sounds like your first show. I had that the night before I was induced and I went into a really slow labor.
Sit tight and wait for the contractions to start!!!

Thanks! Hopefully this is the beginning of something....
They are sending me to the hospital just to be on the safe side, but I have a feeling they'll be sending me home....

I was told that spotting was OK. But if it's like AF, then you have to go to your Dr. or L&D.

my friend had some bleeding during the day and she went into labor the same night, so def. I would not ignore it! it might be the start of something, good luck

I had this at 9pm - my contractions started 3 hrs later and DD was born at 8:59pm the next night

Thanks ladies! They took me in to monitor me and it looks like the blood was from burst blood vessels in my cervix as it's getting ready.
I'm only 1 cm dilated but the dr says  is in the pelvis and she'd be surprised if I made it another week!!!
Today I've been having serious menstrual cramps all day. They aren't regular but I'm hoping they are the beginning of something! I'll keep you posted!
