36 weeks and just had the most intense stabbing pain in ****** area. Anyone else experience this?

This is my second PG and I have felt this pain before but this is the first time it took me down to my knees. I literally couldn't walk for a minute. Along with the stabbing pain in the vajajay I had intense pressure in my rectal area. Sorry way TMI. Wonder if I should pack a hospital bag. LOL

Oh no! Please don't scare me. I don't remember such an intense pain when I had DS.

I started getting that same pain you described around that time and I am still around. My doctor said it is just pressure because baby is getting so big and doesn't necessarily mean anything. But of course everyone is different!

Good luck!

oh and it does hurt a lot!!!!!!

The rectal pressure is the only thing that would be a bit of a red flag for me. I'd call your doctor tomorrow if it continues!

Yeah like I said I have had that pain before but not so intense and with rectal pressure. I have a high tolerance of pain too. So much pressure I almost ran to bathroom. Them it went away. Just a little stabbing feeling now.

I'm 36 weeks too. I get it sometimes. My OB just said it's pressure from the baby, not anything that would mean something is imminent. But you never know. I'm hoping to hold out at least another week. Hoping! Chat Icon

Your body releases relaxin in the third tri which loosens your ligaments in preparation for delivery. That plus the pressure of the baby and your pelvic bones shift out of position. So stints instead of low back pain and sciatica you get a quick stabbing pain that lasts a few minutes. Once in awhile it sticks aroundChat Icon If you give yourself a minute after getting up before taking a step you can save your self from the pain. It really means you need to get adjusted though.
