If you have high ceilings/open foyer

what color did you use on the walls? We're buying a newer construction colonial that has high ceilings and an open foyer. Right now the walls are white. I'm thinking of using some type of beige, but I'm not sure which color. If you have any pictures, please post them. TIA.

We did a very pale yellow. It was Behr's cornerstone. Here are few pics.

Christy & Jess, your foyers are gorgeous!

Ours is white now (we haven't touched it yet), but thinking of painting it a pale yellow like the pics above or a very pale taupe.

aww thank you!!! I love a pale yellow in a foyer. If you have sunlight come in, it just make the house so bright.

LOL! I have a yellow too. My "foyer" (I don't really have a significant one but I do have cathedral ceiing) and room itself is BM Vellum. Goldish-beige-ish

I love the colors you all used. I really like pale yellow, but was thinking of doing some type of yellow/gold in the kitchen/living room. I think that may be too much yellow. Chat Icon I'm so bad at this.

This is from before we moved in with the sellers' stuff. It's a creamy, yellow color (no idea what color it is exactly but the entire house is painted this color.) It's not a bad color, but I'd like to change it to more of a gold or beige, still not sure what I want.

Not the best shots, but gives you an idea of what it looks like.

When we moved in the foyer was painted a slate blue. I felt like it made the house feel smaller so we painted BM lambskin. It's a very light tan.

ETA: Tried to attach pics but it's not working. Have to go to work but will fix when I get home...if I can figure it out!

We don't have a true foyer but you enter into our great room which has very high ceilings. Its painted BM Putnam Ivory, the far wall is Audobon Russet which also becomes our adjoing kitchen color.

Re: If you have high ceilings/open foyer

I don't have a picture on my work computer, but my foyer is Benjamin Moore Light Khaki. I liked it because it's sort of a mix between tan and green and in some light it even looks silvery (if that makes sense). It flows into our kitchen which is BM Desert Tan which is a yellow and it looks great.

Re: If you have high ceilings/open foyer

I have a new construction colonial with a two story entry foyer. We haven't painted yet, but will in the very near future. We are using BM Bar Harbor Beige. I will post pics as soon as we paint!
