I just went to him this past week after my 20 week sono. He was a very happy guy trying to make jokes.
He asked if we found out what we are having & we said no. His response was "What are you guys nuts? Everyone wants to know!" He also told me "Don't worry you'll start to show soon" while I'm obviously showing.  I was in and out of there in 3 minutes.
I asked about a pain I keep getting on my side & his answer was "welcome to pregnancy you're going to get a lot more aches & pains". Didn't ask me any other follow up questions. Overall, I wasn't a fan. I didn't realize he was new, I usually go to their other office.
Hope your experience is better!

That actually sounds a lot like Dr. Droesch's bedside manner  Maybe they are fraternity brothers

ughhh...droesch...I could never get a non-jokey answer out of him. I felt like after everything he said, a "ba-dum-shhh" drum sound should be made.. DH loved him..but me and my pregnancy hormones? we weren't fans.

ugh great - i can't stand jokey doctors. I really hope Dr. Shoenfeld is there when I deliver, he is my fav.

Updated - i just got back from my appoinment.
I liked him, he seemed nice, very energetic. And yes he had some jokes. It will either distract me during labor or annoy the crap out of me during labor. we shall see!
