2.5 month old pacifier help/question

Did anyone else have a baby that "needed the pacifier". Gianna seriously must have that thing plugged in her mouth or else she is screaming. If she is up 6 hrs a day I swear she has that thing in her mouth 5.5 hours of that time. If she starts to fall asleep and it falls out she screams. Once she is finally asleep at night and it falls out she is OK but I must put that thing back into her mouth 100000000000 per day. I tired not giving it to her and she screamed until she was almost blue. Chat Icon

What can I do? Should I just keep giving it to her? I dont care about her having the pacifier it is the constant stopping of whatever I am doing to put it back into her mouth.

Re: 2.5 month old pacifier help/question

Makes me happy my DS won't take one. My DD was and still is addicted at 2 yrs old since birth! I remember so many sleepless nights because I had to constantly get up to get it back in her mouth until she was old enough to find it on her own. Not too much advice but lots of Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon . You can take it away I suppose but I knew it soothed my DD so I wasn't able to do it.

Re: 2.5 month old pacifier help/question

welcome to my world! DS is 4 months old and never really took a pacifier until we introduced the soothie. he doesn't need it during the day but at night he HAS to have it to fall asleep and if (when) he wakes up it is the only thing that will let him fall back asleep.

i am up so many times at night to put it back lately. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon and he screams if i let him go too long without it!

if you come up with a solution let me know Chat Icon Chat Icon

Both DC went through that stage. It passes, and eventually, they can put it back in themselves. It's just something you have to wait out.... Chat Icon Chat Icon
