1st time moms: What do you
regret NOT doing while you were pregnant.....before babies?
For example what do you wish you spent time doing while you still had the time b4 baby was here?

Part of me is so excited to be preggos and for the baby to be here and then my friends who have 1-2 at home tell me, just enjoy these final months to yourself without all the responsibility

I wish I had stopped working earlier. I worked full time until the day I gave birth and I wish I had a week or two so I could relax and catch up on everything.

I regret being so anxious to get this baby out of me...I wish I had just waited and let nature take its course, my induction wasn't a bad experience, but it wasn't how I really wanted the whole thing to be. I wish I had slept more, I wish I had read more, I wish I had slept more. Did I mention that I wish I had slept more???

i wish i had gone away to college, traveled to europe, saved a little more money, finished college, ect... but you know what?? i wouldn't trade what i have for all that now!!!

I just wish we took one last vacation. We were saving the money instead but honestly in the big picture a few thousand dollars wouldn't have made that big of a difference and I would have loved that one last trip before baby. Other than that nothing. We tried to go out, sleep in and spend time together.

A lot of people say sleep, but I was a huge napper and I don't think it made up for anything! If anything, it probably makes you miss it even more!
I'll have to say that I don't really regret not doing anything...I got my degrees, traveled, lived on my own, bought a house, drank, slept, etc...
I will say though that I should probably have cherished those "alone" times a bit more and realized how EASY things were back then!!!!!!!

Honestly nothing....I did everything I wanted to do and look forward to making new "childhood" memories with my son.
ONe thing I did miss when we first had the baby was holding my husband's hand...we were always carring the baby equipment everywhere!!!

i miss just getting in the car&doing spontanious thing w/my hubby.
Going for a ride out on LI or upstate for the day on a whim.
We can do that now, but we have to plan in advance-pack diaper bags, bottles change of clothes etc.
Even silly things like food shopping or going to the mall together-just me & him...when I have to go someplace now,it makes more sense for one of us to stay home w/the kids.
I used to hate the movies, but would KILL to go to one now...or do anything together,bc now it entails trying to find a babysitter!
oh also,i miss going out and dissapearing (shopping!) all day and my husband calling me at night saying"where the hell ARE YOU!!" lol!
Like the above posters say,I too wouldnt trade having my kids for anything, and the bond my DH&I have built as parents is something you just cant describe till you are there
.....but these are just some things i think about-
oh and also, i miss going out together and drinking WAY too much & then sleeping the whole next day!
No matter what condition you are in, as a mom you ALWAYS need to be ready at the crack of dawn when your little one wakes up & wants to start the day!

Sleep in as much as possible and spend as much time with your DH as you can. That's what I did. I do wish we had a chance to take another vacation, babymoons are all the rage now.

I stopped work two weeks before my due date. It was great, except for all of the medical appts. I would go to the gym go home take a nap clean a little take another nap.

me too...same thing!
we did however go out to eat as much as could....so when Samantha got here it was kinda nice to have to stay in and cook!

Not taking photos of myself pregnant. I was too upset about being "fat" that I didn't want them.
Also I wish I had taken time to appreciate the miracle I was participating in.

I have no regrets. I was 37 when I had my first son (didn't meet my DH until I was 34). I had done everything (college, lived in NYC for 8+ years, traveled... etc). I couldn't wait to have my babies.

sleep, sleep and more sleep. I think the hardest thing about being a mom is the lack of sleep. DD has been up since 5:30am on this Sunday morning and now at 10:00 DH is still asleep. Oh how I wish I could sleep in too.

Traveled more maybe took another year with my husband. We were just married 3 years but we could have used more fun time. I think that we weren't that ready or mature.
