DD is almost 7.5 months, and we've been using up our Stage 1 still but also using Stage 2 when we're out of something in Stage 1. In my experience, it's just a bigger jar and maybe just slightly thicker, but no major difference.

For the most part Jack eats mostly Stage 2 foods - but I have Stage 1 fruits and veggies - because I bought WAYYY too much in the beginning and we are still going through it.

I never did stage 1, just halfed the stage 2s in the beginning.
Both kiddies started solids at 6 months

DS started stage 2 at 9 months. He only started cereal at 5 months & stage 1 foods at 6 months.

I cant tell the difference between the two so I bought stage 2 and used it when I had a coupon for it.

pretty much right away ( 6 1/2 months) b/c Noah would eat two jars of stage 1, the stage twos are just bigger jars ( most of them) ...some of the added stuff ones, the mixtures I never used, I started making my own food once he was used to all the veggies and fruits.
