1st bday cake help please
so since dd cant have chocolate till after a year , right thats what the drs say? do i have to get her cake with yellow cake mix and vanilla frosting...is that right? is there any other options? tia

Is she allergic? My kids had chocolate cakes for their birthdays. Heck, they even had chocolate way before their first birthdays.

i dont know if she is - she has yet to have it..i hope not bc I am a chocolate LOVER and I want her to enjoy it as well!lol

My pediatrician said to get whatever cake we wanted and to make sure that DS didn't over-eat - that was all - and it was more in regard to the sugar content.

We did a white on white cake. It was still delicious 
Oh no wait we had 2 cakes-- one had vanilla frosting and it was chocolate cake. She was fine.

I'm making my cake and using "funfetti". It's white cake with sprinkle type things in it. I figure the chocolate will make a mess

I'm having a choc. occasion cake for the guests and a white cupcake for DS. It will be his own little cake to crumble and gum over.
I'm holding off on choc for a very long time so he can enjoy it!
