Ava is 16 months and she only has a few more to go. I thought it was pretty fast too.

All 20 baby teeth? By 18 months, my son had 16 - all but 4, which were his 2 year molars. He got his 2 year molars at 2-1/2 years old.

My DD will be the same, she already has 8 at 8 months.

It just varies so greatly, there really isn't a norm.

yup! can def have them all by this age. usually we see 16 but can def have all 20 by this age. just make sure to keep them clean, especially the bottom teeth, those are the ones that we always see with lots of plaque on them by age 2. sometimes the plaque is hard called calculus where we have to use the cavitron or scale it off and sometimes for a 2 yr old they get scared. you can def use a baby toothbrush now, if you werent allready. It can be normal - Alex is 16 months and has all her teeth except the last 4. I'm not looking forward to when those start coming through!

It's definitely possible. I honestly can't tell with Christopher, because he won't let me look in his mouth long enough to count Chat Icon

Oooh...can I hit you up for some free advice???

I brush her teeth every night after her bath (as much as she will let me which is usually just 15 seconds worth).

BUT...I still nurse her before bed (after I have already brushed her teeth). Is this terrible for her teeth??? I've heard that nursing isn't as bad as a bottle nut I'm not sure that is true.
TIA

Hi!! sure!! No its not terrible but you do have the same risk, the good thing however is that you are brushing her teeth before hand so there isnt as much bacteria in her mouth but ideally you should brush even if its just warm water to remove the milk/breastmilk off of her teeth. A warm cloth will do, you dont have to brush them if you have allready brushed them. the idea is to remove the film of milk left on the teeth before bedtime. We see a ton of decay on the front teeth from this. on the two front teeth, inbetween them. take the warm cloth and just wipe down her front teeth, top and bottom. Chat Icon

Thanks. We will be stopping the nursing soon but in the meantime I will see if she will let me wipe down her teeth with a cloth just before I put her in the crib. I worry because my family has AWEFUL teeth. I can't even count how many root canals I've had. Chat Icon

Yes...I'm happy that its just about over. She's been soaking her shirts with drool because of these last 4. Glad she's getting the pain over with sooner rather than later. Chat Icon

Wow! Michael is 2 and only has 12 teeth! Goes to show how every kid is different...

I'm confused though. He's got 6 on top and 6 on the bottom - we're waiting on the 4 two year molars right? So how does that make 20 baby teeth??? LOL, am I missing something? Chat Icon Chat Icon

Wow is right, that's lots of teeth! At least you are almost done in the teething dept! :)

I feel the same-i have a late budder, our first tooth just poked through this weekend, dd's almost 9 months old.

Technically, she's at least 2 months behind, but i think they do it at different rates. I love my gummy baby!
