16 Months and starting to wake in the middle of the night again?

DD has NEVER been a good sleeper, but at 12 months I did CIO hardcore and she finally started sleeping through the night...thank Goodness!

Now this week all of a sudden every night @ 2am she's waking up. I let her cry for 10 minutes or so before I go in there, but she just gets louder and louder. I don't think anything is wrong, since as soon as I go in there and soothe her for a few minutes she goes right back to sleep.

This week I just started a new job working full-time from home...is that something that could be causing these night wakings? Has this happened to anyone else?

You are not alone.

My DD was never a good sleeper. In fact sometimes she woke every hour. Finally at 7 months, she started to sleep better. Now at 18 months, she wakes around 2am - 3am, sometimes every 10 minutes. I have no idea why. I keep saying she's teething. I've just accepted it and go in and comfort her for a few minutes and walk out. Last night she cwoke 4 times and at the 5th time, I didn't go in. She cried for about 10 minutes and them went back to sleep. It's a never ending battle here - hang in there!

Thanks, I'm glad to hear I'm not alone in the world of crappy sleepers! Chat Icon

We've been dealing with the same thing lately. She'll sleep great for a couple of nights, then wake up screaming for a night or two. We had to go back to CIO basics very recently (last week).

Maybe????? Last night we put her to bed about 2 and half hours later than we normally do as we were at a friend's house and she was having a great time playing with their DD. Well wouldn't you know it...instead of waking at 2am, she woke at 4:30am. This kid has some internal clock on her. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I really miss sleeping through the night. How much longer will this last? Mommy is tired! Chat Icon Chat Icon
