13 month old not walking and going outside
We go outside a lot. I have a 3 yr old and a 13 month old. My 13 month old is usually good in the stroller or holding onto the side of the water table. He'll stand for a while then want to venture off and crawl away. I just hate him crawling on the patio b.c he picks up everything, heads for the rocks and puts anything in his mouth.
A blanket won't work b.c he'll crawl off, he hates being confined in a PnP b.c he loves to be on the move. He's all over the house.
What do you do with a very active LO that isn't walkig yet and the weather is too nice to stay in. Especially since I have a 3 yr old.

can you put up those gates that make a circle? i forget what they call them. just buy a bunch to make a large area so he doesnt feel confined?

When my DD was crawling (and even now that she's walking) i used to let her crawl all over and just watch her like a hawk to make sure she didnt put anything in her mouth. I thought it was good for her to explore.

I try, but not so easy when you're also watching a 3 yr old who wants to ride his tricycle around or play ball wth you.
I do let him crawl, but then he heads for the rocks in our landscaping or our flowers and I have to grab him asap

i got two playards from craigslist and connected them - then i put them around my outdoor sectionall - and i bring toys outside- they stay and play in there for a while
then we have a small swingset ont he grass- they play on the slide and under the hourse for a while and the swings

I did the baby carrier at that age when we were out at a playground etc, where i had to keep a closer eye on my older one.

i agree with the superyard idea - don't know how big of a space you have, but you can get two sets and join them together to make a really big area if you want. They're great!
