1 year old-teeth brushing help

So, Liam has 8 teeth already (he'll be 1 in a week). The doctor recommended brushing his teeth twice a day (as if 1x wasn't hard enough).

My question is, any tips on how to get him to stop biting me. I can do the front, and generally the backs of his bottoms, but to get the backs of his uppers is so painful to me. I use the rubber tip finger brush.

Any tips or advise.

Thanks!

Use an infant/toddler soft bristle toothbrush. I only used the finger brush for a few days and then switched right over to the toothbrush. It was easier to clean all of her teeth and she can't bite me.

LOL......no pain at all with the toothbrush. I am glad I switched because the few times I've had to stick my fingers in my DD's mouth I almost cried it hurt so bad. She left teeth imprints in my fingers!! Chat Icon

infant tooth brush...i have Frankie do it himself and then I do it for him. He also watches and mimics me when I do it. We do it 2x per day as part of his nrmal routine. First thing he says when he gets up in the morning is "teeth, teeth" we then go brush his teeth.Chat Icon
