1 hour glucose test at 26 weeks?

For some reason I thought this was done at 28 weeks. Not that 2 weeks makes a big difference, but I was just wondering. Also, if you have the test done in a lab do they make you drink and then wait the hour before the blood test? I just turned 26 weeks today so I'm not sure when to go in.

I just had mine done today- and I am in my 28th week. My doctor gave me the script during my 26 week visit- and told me to go sometime in the next two weeks- that it had to be done by my 28th week.

I had my done in a lab. When I got there- they took my blood, I drank the stuff (everyone is right, it tastes like orange soda), waited an hour, and then they took my blood again. It went really fast! I bought my Ipod and a few magazines to read.

yup...you wait an hour before they draw the blood. I think I had my test done around the 27th week.

I'm 25 wks & I'm doing the 1 hr test this week. My dr wanted to do it early b/c my sugar was a little high when they tested my urine at the last appt.

I'm not going to the lab though. She gave me the drink & told me to drink it 40 min before the appt so I can just come in & they will take my blood

My office does it at 28 weeks, but my appointments usually are a few days early so I will do it during 27 weeks probably.

My office does the test at 24 weeks. I had mine at 24 weeks, 4 days.

My doctor said any where in between 24-28 weeks...I'll be going either this week or next..Im 26 weeks today..
