I thought that no sex offender could live w/in a 5 mile radius of a licensed child care center...???

ISLIP TERRACE - State parole officials arrested a level-1 sex offender Thursday caught living in a home in Islip Terrace that is also the site of a day care center.
The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department says 28-year-old Rasheed Dupree was out on parole and living in the home Safe Haven Christian Day Care Center was being run out of.
News 12 Long Island teamed up with the sheriff’s department and Parents for Megan’s Law to stake out the house. The sheriff’s department found Dupree in violation of his parole for driving a car and living in a residence with children.
State parole officials were notified and arrested Dupree. The parents who send their children to Safe Haven were also notified.
Parents for Megan’s Law representative Laura Ahearn feels the woman who runs the day care center, Adrienne Dupree, was conning the parents of the children she cared for by letting Rasheed Dupree live there.
The New York State Division of Parole offered no comment as to how such violations were allowed to occur.

Who would look this far for a post and respond to this one????
Maybe it came up as a related post because I said something about child sex abuse this weekend. I found out my Residence Hall Director from Stony Brook had several arrests and eventually committed suicide in jail.
I didn't post about it on LIF but I started to read a bit about the guy from the karate school in Ronkonkoma because my RHD also taught karate. These people arrange their lives so that they can be with children. The guy in Ronkonkoma hasn't been tried yet but there are supposedly videos.
