You might enjoy Wildwood.
There is the beach, pool, boardwalk, amusement parks, water parks and then a short drive away the Cape May Zoo- which is FREE and has so much to do, little rides, all the animals, and a playground.
We stay at Icona Diamond Beach- it's amazing.
(but not cheap)
There are tons of more affordable options in Wildwood and Diamond Beach though- tons and tons.

I am a huge fan of Long Beach Island. There is a small amusement park called Fantasy Island. There is also a waterpark, tons of mini golf and delicious restaurants. The beaches are gorgeous. You can also visit the lighthouse in Barnegat. There’s a little shopping area called Bay Village. And it’s not as far as some of the other shore locations. Let me know if you have any questions.
