break fast yom kippur - Menu

I host break fast usually every year. We're having family, neighbors and friends over. It's usually a lot, but break fast is usually pretty fast bc everyone comes in starving. LOL

Here's on the menu -

bagels
bialeys
challah
fish platter
tuna
white fish
egg salad
lox
cheese
kugel - my mom makes
french toast bake - my MIL makes
banana bread
fruit


Company is bringing desserts, but we'll buy cookies.
My MIL makes rainbow cookies


Drinks -
coffee, juice, water, bloody mary mix, mimosas

This sounds delicious.

We used to go so traditional for the break fast but now there are usually only 3-6 of us, so we just stick to bagels and lox and cream cheese. We ditched all the fishes and the egg salad and the kugels.

In terms of your menu, do you have any vegetables? You didn't mention anything.

To me the must haves are:
-sliced onions and crunchy lettuce! for the bagel sandwiches

But I also really like fresh cut-up cucumbers. Maybe an Israeli salad for everyone, parsley, cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers??

our family usually has
bagels
white fish
tuna fish
herring in cream and wine sauce
egg salad
lox (sometimes)
cream cheese (sometimes other)
sliced tomatoes

coffee.

When my grandparents were alive we had juice too and Dunkin Donuts when I was a kid.

Now just some honey cake or other cake, no cookies or fruit

we dont eat until sunset, dark out, my family stays in temple from 9 AM until it ends, no leaving for a break
