I thought they're left leaning but a chart I found says it's conservative leaning and analytical.

What I don't get is, everytime the gun discussion comes up, republicans say no to gun control laws but then talk about how mental health should be addressed. It's standard rhetoric regarding this topic at this point. So, wtf! How does this help the argument?

Because that was their excuse. If they were so concerned with mental health, they wouldn't keep trying to repeal the ACA. Now there's no one to stop them so they're just intent on destroying everything that makes sense.

We will never had meaningful gun control because the Repubs are bought by the NRA. They had the Repubs put the fear of God in everyone that Obama was coming for their guns so people would keep buying them before that happened

I was listening to CNN this morning on my way into work. They were interviewing Senator Barrasso, a republican from Wyoming about this issue. Alisyn Camerota point blank asked him "Do you think that those receiving disability payments for severe mental issues should be allowed to get guns?" This idiot kept dodging the question. Totally refused to answer. All he kept repeating was blah blah blah Constitution....blah blah blah Constitution. I really can't with these people!!!!!

You know what the kicker is about this? The Constitution is a living document, it's meant to be amended!!! When it was written psychos didn't get semi automatic weapons and shoot up schools and movie theaters. It SHOULD be changed to reflect how the country has changed
Now only if republicans can ever understand that

I have to agree with you ladies on this one. I agree, if you are mentally unstable, you should not be allowed to own a gun.
