Any options-Pet sitting?

Sorry the back story will be a little long.

My dog had ruptured her Achilles tendon and had to have surgery. She is in a cast and can not walk on it. So she spends most of her day in the crate. She has to be carried outside to go to the bathroom and her cast has to be covered from getting wet. My mother usually watches our dog and we have a two night camping trip coming up. My mother can not watch our dog because her dog is getting spayed that weekend. I have no one else to depend on. I can not use a boarding place due to the fact that I don't trust them to give proper care to my dogs injury and the vet has us waiting to give her the yearly vaccinations till she is healed. I am going to ask the VCA Vet that we are using to treat her tendon if they board. But, I am sure its going to be 300+ a night due to the fact its a hospital and it probably would be considered a medical stay. I don't think I can justify that much for just a small camping trip.
I believe my only option is for me to stay home and send my husband and children camping. I was just wondering if anyone else had some ideas for me?

My vet has boarding services (in Huntington). Price depends on the size of the doge, but for a small dog is about $30 per night (not exactly sure). They provide excellent care and I'm sure they could care for your dog. Let me know if you would like the info

my DH and I use a a woman in Massapequa, we love her. She will come to you or you can bring your dog to her. FM if you would like her info, she is very reasonable
