Just some more foster care adoption links...
After experiencing the emotional and financial impact of infertility I thought I would never be able to be a mom and I would never be able to adopt. I had never heard about adoption through foster care, and I had always had the misconception that all kids in foster care were damaged; I was very wrong. I post this info from time to time just in case there is a family out there who feels they will never be able to adopt a child for whatever reason. Adoption through foster care is a real possibility and it is not expensive. This is the road we are on.
I'm not an expert, I am not advertising, I am not promoting...I am just sharing :)

This is exactly what my cousins did. They have had a number of foster children over the years and ended up adopting their son when he was very young, he was placed with them as a toddler. They still see his sister, who was with them for a short time.
